Montréal-based reggae artist Seed Organization has been producing as well as selecting for over a decade. Growing up in Winnipeg, a Canadian city known as the world’s coldest city, he was drawn to the warm sounds out of the Caribbean. The Seed Organization is dedicated to sharing his version on reggae with the world. He works late into the night, surrounded by the hum of the old transistors, circuits and vacuum tubes in his lab, The Green House, crafting his riddims. His productions have emerged from the studio featuring voicings by some of reggae's brightest such as Daddy Scotty, Mikey Murka, Dangerman and Gosple Fish. He has collaborated with Richie Phoe, Big Toe's Hi-Fi, Citizen Sound and RCola and performed alongside Dubmatix, The Herbalizer, Ghostbeard, and Marcus Visionary. The Seed Organization now runs the label along with label manager, Kasm, after originally joining the Balanced Records crew in 2001. He co-founded Reggae Mondragon along with Theo Tzu and the silver fox; a weekly reggae dance in the all-vegan, activist restaurant, Mondragon and was a resident DJ at the monthly Bass Invaders series of events. He was also host to various bass music radio shows since the late 90’s. Watch out for new sounds coming out of The Green House soon.
