In 1997, after discovering jungle music on late-night radio, Montreal, Canada native RCola began to produce and DJ. He started the jungle club night Air Massive, home to DJs like Kasm and The Seed Organization and then co-founded the infamous Chopstick Dubplate label in 2002. In 2004, he created his own labels Royal Crown and JungleXpeditions and to date has released over 25 songs on vinyl and toured Europe 10 times; playing over 250 shows in 20 countries.
RCola has been named as one of the top ten ragga-jungle artists in the world by KMag, no doubt fueled by his original music and collaborative efforts in keeping ragga-jungle music up front and center. RCola has recently worked with Tippa Irie, David Boomah and Daddy Scotty. His full-length album Rub A Dub Wize, is a 14-track collection of his hottest tunes, including re-mastered versions of his 12" vinyls with reggae greats Sister Nancy, Barrington Levy, Jimmy Riley & UK chanteuse Belle Humble. Drawing heavily on soundsystem culture and an amazing lineup of singers the album offers fans of RCola's original junglist sound the chance to bring their one-foot skankin' styles home.
