February 8th - 15th marks the ninth annual CKUW FUNdrive; an on-air pledge campaign with a week of special programming. Listeners will be encouraged to call 204-774-6877 or visit ckuw.ca and pledge their support for listener driven radio.

Quadrafunk (hosted by Kasm & Rob Coles) is proud to be one of the few original shows to remain on air throughout this period. From the early late night Weds drum n bass slot, to the emergence of our label and a shift to the coveted Friday night spot, Quadrafunk has maintained it's stamp as a truly original, quality electronic music program that isn't afraid to cross over into hip hop, reggae, afrobeat and other styles. On that tip, also check out Stylus Radio hosted by Sarah Michaelson Thursdays from 2-3PM for a playful melange of funk/hip hop, jazzbreaks, electronicfolk.

This year's FUNdrive continues a successful tradition started in 1999. Since then, the station's listeners have donated over $280,000 to Winnipeg's 'Downtown Underground' radio. Unlike commercial radio, 95.9 FM CKUW doesn't rely on advertising support to keep the station going, and listener donations help maintain and improve CKUW's radio services.
