Seven Years of Balanced

It's hard to believe but April 23rd marked the 7th year of operation for our label! Building on the 5 free tracks we gave away with our 5 for Five campaign two years ago, we'll be giving away two more unreleased tracks from artists on the label. Seed Organization at Desmond Dekker Tribute Show

In May of 2006, Desmosnd Dekker passed away and left his legacy for a new generation to discover and learn from. Bacteria Buffet Records is pleased to present this compilation as a tribute to the late and great ambassador of Jamaican music. Thirteen artists from across North America have come together to provide their own interpretations of these greats songs. From dub, punk, hip-hop, rocksteady and ska versions of these great tracks, Unity: A Tribute to Desmond Dekker sheds light on the impact of this man and his songs on so many different musical genres.

Tokyo Bound

Balanced is very pleased to be joining the first ever Canadian music industry trade mission to Japan taking place deep in the heart of Tokyo at the Canadian Embassy. We will embark on this mission with 20 other music companies for 5 days of networking and hope to forge new ground for our artists in Japan.

Aiwa Remixed Volume

Balanced is pleased to have collaborated on the new remix project for Aïwa, the Iraqi-French troupe that saw huge success with their second album "El Nar" on Wikkid Records. Aïwa Remixed Volume 1 sees the Balanced crew remixing tracks from El Nar by Solidaze, Rise Ashen, The Seed Organization, Billy Rockwell, Fascade@137db and Kasm along with other producers such as Transglobal Underground, Cheb I Sabbah and Modja.
